As the new year begins, we look forward. We make resolutions, we make plans, we manifest. But, we also reflect. Looking back at 2016, it’s almost unbelievable how many tragedies and challenges we had to face, as a human collective and individually. However, with pain comes growth, with darkness comes light, with death comes rebirth. I do believe that a bright light was cast upon the true darkness of our country, of our humanity, and of ourselves. I am grateful for the lessons I learned this past year. With loss, we must learn to let go. And once we let go, we can heal.

All in all, 2016 stripped us bare, showcasing our vulnerability. This year will be about rebirth, growth, and loving unconditionally even under challenging circumstances. For a while now, I have felt the need for feminine energy. And so many of my friends and sisters have expressed that we are entering a new age, the dawn of the feminine rising. Our world needs to be tended to, to be loved, to be nurtured, to be protected. The strength of a woman is a powerful force. A force to be honored and embraced.

A few weeks ago, I decide to start a project to honor the sacred feminine. The goddess. Now, the myth of the goddess is endless. Her stories are found in every culture and in every country. She takes on many forms, from Athena to Ishtar. She comes at many ages: the maiden, the mother, the crone. Yet, at the root of each goddess, is just one — the sacred feminine. The sacred feminine is an energy. The sacred feminine is within us all. Whether you identify as female, male, neither, or both, the power of the feminine spirit is attainable.

The Luna Moth Goddess Series will be a collection of rituals to honor specific goddesses, with photography coinciding with the spells. Twice a month, a new ritual and photo set will be released.

Cheers to the new year, and to the goddess within us all.
